This page explains exactly how customers consent to receive SMS text messages from Rise Inspection Services, what we send, and how to opt out. It is provided so our messaging program and consent process are fully transparent and publicly viewable (no login required).
What messages we send
We send transactional, service messages to customers who schedule an elevator inspection with us: appointment confirmations, reminders that an inspection is coming due, day-before reminders, and en-route notifications when the inspector is on the way. We do not send marketing or promotional text messages.
How customers opt in
1. On our website (opt-in checkbox)
On our Get a Free Quote form, after entering a phone number, the customer can check the SMS consent box shown below. The box is unchecked by default — the customer must actively check it, and checking it is never required to request a quote or use our services. This is the exact checkbox as it appears on the form:
2. By phone (verbal consent)
When a customer schedules by phone, our staff request consent using the following script and record it in our system before any message is sent:
